Odiss Khan
Born and raised as an only child in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Odiss Kohn is a great artist with a story to tell.
His mother, a talented beautician, and his father, a skilled transmission specialist, had the freedom to share their passion for the great outdoors with their young son. Whether fishing, hunting, horseback riding, or camping, they made countless memories traveling together in his dad’s cherished ’69 Ford F-100 custom pickup.
It was during those adventures that Odiss discovered his love for music.
Listening to traditional folk and country songs with his dad, he learned to appreciate the raw storytelling behind each lyric. His father’s words, “Son, this type of music gives you a glimpse of where the person was, where he is now, and where he wants to be,” became a lifelong inspiration.
Coupled with the soul of Mississippi’s alluvial dirt, the folklore of its cotton fields, and the melodies of its magnolia trees, Odiss grew a deep connection to country music.
Odiss first shared his talent at just five years old, singing “Victory in Jesus” at his pre-K graduation. Though nervous, the standing ovation he received sparked a passion for performing. That passion stayed with him, even as he followed another calling: serving his country.
In March 2003, Odiss enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he excelled in advanced training courses like Ranger School, Airborne, Air Assault, and Pathfinder.
He served on multiple deployments, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait, always striving to bring his fellow soldiers—and himself—home safely.
After a decade of distinguished service, he retired with numerous medals and commendations, carrying forward the lessons of discipline and dedication.
Today, Odiss brings that same work ethic and passion to his music career, guided by the words of his late grandfather: “Love what you do, because if you love it, you’ll acquire knowledge of it faster and stick with it longer.”
His wife and four children remain his biggest motivation, inspiring him to pursue his dreams every day.
Since moving to Nashville, Odiss has had the privilege of meeting and working with legendary artists like Reba McEntire, Jo Dee Messina, Charlie Louvin, George Jones, and many others.
He’s also collaborated with some of the best songwriters in the industry, including Monty Holmes, Tommy Barnes, James Dean Hicks, and Ed Hill.
For Odiss, music is more than a career—it’s a shared experience that connects us all. With a powerful voice and a heartfelt connection to his roots, Odiss Kohn continues to captivate audiences, one song at a time.
